Deepti Shenoi, MD
Dr. Deepti Shenoi has been in practice in the western suburbs of Chicago since 2010. She attended medical school at Washington University in St. Louis, then completed her Adult Psychiatry Residency, and Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Fellowship at the University of Illinois at Chicago. She was the recipient of the Jay G. Hirsch Memorial Award for best research paper in Child Psychiatry in 2011.
Dr. Shenoi is Board Certified in Child, Adolescent, and Adult Psychiatry. She effectively treats children, adolescents, and young adults with the full spectrum of psychiatric disorders, such as anxiety disorders, obsessive compulsive, mood disorders including depression and bipolar disorder, attention deficit problems, impulse-control disorders, and more.
To have time to gather sufficient background information when treating individuals 18 and under, Dr. Shenoi prefers to meet with the individual’s parent(s) or guardian(s) first for a 45-minute evaluation, then meet with the individual and parent(s) or guardian(s) together, about one – two weeks later for a second 45-minute evaluation.
Dr. Shenoi has a way of easily establishing rapport with her patients. Her personality is very warm and caring, and she invites parent and teacher input on a child’s behavior and performance at home and at school.
